It seems obvious to me, but of course, the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL will come out, of which we already know nearly everything. With the Slate, Google appears to be unveiling a new Chromecast, wireless charger, and of course, its third generation Pixel phones. Fast forward to today, Engadget has also managed to get hold of an "unreleased version" of the Pixel 3 XL in Hong Kong.

Here's everything to expect from Google's annual hardware event.

Rumours now point to a 5.5 inch screen for the Pixel 3 and 6.7 inch screen on the XL.

As we inch towards the end of a smartphone year, we will witness one of the last few major launches of 2018 tonight. This time, according to, the Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3 XL will be manufactured by Foxconn Subsidiary FIH mobile, which also makes the Nokia phones for HMD Mobile. The Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL will pack the Snapdragon 845 under the hood, and they will come with 4GB of RAM along with either 64GB or 128GB of internal storage.

The phone is expected to have two front-facing cameras with each 8-megapixel sensors, while the rear camera comes with 12.2MP sensors. Google will be jumping back in with the Pixel Slate, featuring a 3:2, stylus support and Chrome OS.

Google has been somewhat restrained in its distribution and marketing the Pixel phone, Llamas said, because it doesn't want to alienate Samsung and hundreds of other device makers who feature Android in their own phones.

Among other features, it'll have 16gb of RAM, an Intel Amber Lake processor, as well as a 3000x2000 display. Perhaps the biggest upgrade will be a 4K display, but whether this device will be announced on the 9th at all is still up in the air.

Google is set to launch its new set of smartphones on Tuesday at an event in New York City. It's a smart device with a touchscreen and speakers.

A list of specs shows that the device will have a "full-range speaker for crystal clear sound" and 'far-field voice recognition'. Let's have a look at what we can expect from the October 9 event from Google.

A MySmartPrice report has posted pictures of a supposed Google Pixel Slate.

One thing that could return to the Pixel is edge sense technology which allows the device to be controlled via a simple squeeze.

Some have suggested it could release wireless Pixelbuds this time around.
