Colombia oficializó refugio a diputado venezolano Julio Borges

El dirigente opositor Venezolano, Julio Borges, fue reconocido como condición de refugiado por la cancillería colombiana.

El canciller, Carlos Holmes Trujillo García señaló que la condición de refugio se formaliza porque se estableció luego de un análisis que se realizó al caso Borges que se trata de una persecución política.

Todas las investigaciones confirmaron la participación de Julio Borges, como coordinador general del magnicidio frustrado contra el jefe de Estado.

"El señor Julio Borges fue quien recibe la orden, los recursos logísticos y el apoyo", expresó el Mandatario Nacional en agosto pasado. "Nosotros no vamos a extraditar a un perseguido político para que una dictadura abuse de sus derechos humanos", dijo Duque en su primer día en las Naciones Unidas.

A finales del pasado septiembre, Iván Duque aseguró que su país no iba a extraditar a Venezuela a Borges.

Y es que el gobierno venezolano se ha dedicado desde hace tiempo a acusar al opositor de Nicolás Maduro.

En agosto, Borges afirmó que si regresara a Venezuela "estaría secuestrado" porque considera que en su país "no hay justicia".
