Fekir opened up on United being his "dream club" back in 2015 but Lyon president Jean Michel Aulas has opened up on the saga of Nabil Fekir.

Liverpool pulled the plug on a £53million deal before the World Cup after concerns were raised about Fekir's knee and Lyon refused to lower the asking price.

The France worldwide begged Aulas to reconsider and Lyon have now told Fekir they will at least resume talks with Liverpool.

Fekir has actually met twice with Lyon chief Aulas during this World Cup, the latest after France's dramatic semi final victory over Belgium when the French owner - who is influential within the FFF - went into the dressing room to join celebrating players.

Liverpool would allegedly refuse to do business at the previously agreed terms but would be open to a restructured deal, though Fekir has already agreed a five-year deal worth £120,000-a-week from the initial talks.

Lyon are now preparing for his exit by looking into the signing of Ziyech, which would be a massive boost for Liverpool.

The report claims that Fekir's move to Liverpool is back on, after the midfielder pleaded with Lyon's president to allow him to make the switch to the Premier League.
