All Metro North service in and out of Grand Central has been temporarily suspended until the severe weather passes.

The National Weather Service for Boston has recently been tweeting out advisories about potential severe thunderstorms that could be hitting the area later today.

Increasing chances for storms are on the way Monday with the risk for severe weather tonight. Jensenius said the storm took down trees along a 36-mile path beginning in Charlestown and running through Langdon, Acworth, Lempster, Bradford, and Warner, ending somewhere near Route 127 Webster. Heavy rainfall is possible during this period, with concerns for flooding increasing during this time. That humidity will provide fuel for our next batch of storms, that should approach the area by 11 p.m.

Damaging winds and hail are the greatest severe weather threats Saturday afternoon. Always remember never try to drive across a flooded road "Turn Around Don't Drown" it can save your life.

People are being urged to be aware of the changing weather conditions Monday.

The chance for hail, strong winds, and tornadoes is highest in northeast Pennsylvania, the Hudson Valley, and western New England.

TOMORROW - Overcast with Areas Of Showers. There is a 20 percent chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms Thursday.

Precipitation returns Friday night and will likely be present through both weekend days, forecasters wrote. "It should be a dry day, but some light rain is possible near the coast".
