The Russian Embassy in London has requested a meeting between its ambassador and Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson over the Salisbury poisoning. It seems that a long overdue meeting of Ambassador Alexander Yakovenko with the British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson should be organized for discussion of the whole range of bilateral relations, as well as the investigation of the Salisbury incident.

It added that the ambassador had already sent a note to the foreign secretary, and it hoped "the British side will engage constructively and that such meeting is arranged shortly".

In a statement on Saturday, the embassy said its dealings with the U.K.'s Foreign Office had been "utterly unsatisfactory".

"It's over three weeks since we asked Russian Federation to..."

Earlier on April 4, British military facility head Gary Aitkenhead claimed to identify the nerve agent as the military-grade Novichok but they had not proved that it was made in Russian Federation.

Relations between London and Moscow have steadily worsened since the United Kingdom government pointed the finger at Russian Federation over last month's poisoning of Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia in the English city of Salisbury.

The British Foreign Office confirmed it had received the request for a meeting between Alexander Yakovenko and Mr Johnson and would be responding in due course. Yakovenko added that Moscow wants to make sure that the investigation is transparent, with representatives of both North Atlantic Treaty Organisation and the European Union, as well as Russia, India, China, Latin America, Africa participating.

The Russian Embassy previously said it hoped the improvement in the Skripals' health will "contribute to the investigation of the crime perpetrated against them".

Viktoria Skripal later told the BBC she did not have enough money in her bank account to satisfy the visa requirements.

London has also denied Russian consular staff access to Sergei and Yulia Skripal, despite them being Russian citizens.

Yulia was able to recover from the attack after being hospitalised for over a week.

Prime Minister Theresa May's position has been supported by more than 20 countries who plan to expel Russian diplomats.

With the saga of the poisoning of Sergei Skripal and his daughter unfolding and London not backing down on claims of Moscow's guilt, the embassy bemoaned the level of communication with the UK Foreign Office.

Salisbury District Hospital has said Mr Skripal, is responding well to treatment and "improving rapidly".
