Worley allegedly became combative with police when roused around 6 a.m. and was tased before being taken into custody.

Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Daryl Worley was detained Sunday and shocked morning after police found him sleeping at an vehicle obstructing a highway, as found by a 35, if he turned into combative.

The Eagles confirmed the arrest happened and said they are in the process of gathering more information.

The Philadelphia Eagles traded for cornerback Daryl Worley this offseason for Torrey Smith and while the move was viewed as a win for the Eagles, that may backfire soon enough.

Back in 2014, according to Metro News, Worley pleaded no contest to misdemeanor assault stemming from involvement with a nightclub altercation, ultimately getting a six-month suspended sentence. Worley played in 16 games and started 11 as a rookie, recording one interception and nine passes defensed. He was a third-round pick out of West Virginia in 2016. Worley said he had been defending his girl friend.
