Enter WhatsApp's "delete for everyone" feature, which does precisely what the name says - it allows you to delete your messages after you send them, preventing your conversation partners from seeing them.
WhatsApp users will soon be able to delete messages up to an hour after sending - but how does it work?
We recently reported that WhatsApp for iOS users can now take up to 4096 seconds to decide if they want to delete a message or not. From seven minutes, the time was extended to a strangely specific one hour, eight minutes, and 16 seconds. In addition, recalled messages will display a "This message was deleted" notice, so the recipients will know that the sender made a mistake. It is hoped that this will stop customers from using illegal mods and upgrades to indiscriminately delete old messages.
Other similar messaging services have a feature for secret conversations which generates a conversation that won't be stored on either device.
WhatsApp is known as world's best instant messaging apps which is widely available for all smartphones platforms as well as it is available with the web version for PC users.
You will not be notified if deleting for everyone was not successful.
In the updated version, the tool will also check the timestamp of the original message, to make sure that the revoke request was sent within 24 hours of it being received. You just need to go to Settings Account Privacy Read Receipts. While the feature was appreciated, users were not happy about the time limit. When you have to share your location in a WhatsApp chat by tapping the attach icon, it will prompt you to select the duration of time for which your location will be active to others.
WhatsApp's website doesn't offer an explanation about the newly introduced time limit. The recipient won't see the message, instead they will see message deleted texts at that place.
