Marcus Rashford: 'I'm learning most in training'

In Saturday's 2-1 win over arch-rivals Liverpool, Manchester United's Marcus Rashford eclipsed Sanchez's form.

Rumours had circulated that the England worldwide may have to look for regular game time elsewhere in the summer as he continued to be out of favour under Jose Mourinho.

Rashford's double - on his first Premier League start since Boxing Day - proved decisive, as Liverpool couldn't add to the Bailly own goal as they slipped to a first defeat in eight games in all competitions.

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has said that he is doing most of his learning in training after scoring both goals in his team's 2-1 victory over Liverpool on Saturday.

His stunning performance against Liverpool set a new personal best goal return at Manchester United, taking his tally to 12 goals across all competitions, thus bettering his previous record of 11 from the 2016/17 season. Manchester United have the edge over the rest of the clubs. You have to take it into the game and [on Saturday] it worked. There's lots of things (I'm learning).

"We want the supporters behind us, since I've been here they've been really good".

Rashford will be hoping to keep his place for the crucial Champions League second leg clash with Sevilla tomorrow (7.45pm).

Two goals in 10 minutes gave the home side a 2-0 lead after 24 minutes and Juan Mata nearly added a third before half-time but the Kops came hard in the second half and dominated possession but fell short despite an own goal from Eric Bailly.

Peculiarly, Cristiano Ronaldo, while he was enjoying his spell under Sir Alex Ferguson in Manchester, happened to have scored a goal nearly identical to Rashford's, way back in 2007.

They were United's only two shots on target in the entire match and Mourinho believes Rashford's brace - which came in front of England manager Gareth Southgate - will be a huge boost to his self-belief.

Before the two goals, after the two goals, I thought we were dominant.
