Supernatural thriller A Quiet Place gets a new trailer

Though we got another brief look at A Quiet Place during the cavalcade of trailers and teasers during this year's Super Bowl, the team - which includes director/star John Krasinski - cannily held off on showing the new trailer until all the hoopla had passed. If they make even the slightest peep: monsters.

And the first trailer for the film has landed, too.

A Quiet Place was directed by John Krasinski, best known for playing Jim on the long-running half-hour comedy series, The Office.

In the modern horror thriller, a family of four must navigate their lives in silence after mysterious creatures that hunt by sound threaten their survival. The film is produced by Michael Bay, p.g.a. Andrew Form, p.g.a. Brad Fuller, p.g.a. The film also stars Wonderstruck breakout Millicent Simmonds and newcomer Noah Jupe.

A Quiet Place will surely use sound in a way that few movies have before, and to see exactly how (as well as learn the fate of this family), you can check out the film when it hits theaters on April 6.

"We had a joke in our house, when we were shooting and I was writing the script where any time there was a noise my wife and I would just quietly turn to each other and say 'You're dead.'"
