Donald Trump Jr is promoting a Trump Towers luxury development near Delhi by offering buyers the chance to have dinner with him if they sign up.

While the United States embassy is believed to be keeping an "arm's length" from Trump Jr's visit, sources told The Indian Express that local authorities are involved in the "security element" for the President's son.

Donald Trump Jr., eldest son of POTUS Donald Trump will deliver a speech on foreign policy related to the Indo-Pacific relations at an event where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also be present.

Trump Jr. will also visit Kolkata, where the construction of a project with 137 luxury units will begin soon.

Sources, however, said that the Indian government is treating Trump Jr's trip to India as a "private visit".

Unimark Group, which is building the Trump Tower Kolkata along with Tribeca Developers and local real estate firm RDB Group, referred questions about the event to Tribeca.

He however refused to disclose the revenue model for the India business and what Trump Organisation would earn. "Have you?" shout the barrage of glossy front-page advertisements in nearly every major Indian newspaper. And even though his father is still a beneficial owner of the family business, he is not subject to conflict of interest laws, as the president is exempt.

India is Trump Organisation's biggest worldwide market, with four real estate projects underway in Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata, and Gurugram.

According to Trump, the regulatory changes that India is undergoing is making the real estate market healthy and therefore attractive for foreign investors and business entities.

The Trump Organization has licensing agreements with all its Indian business partners, who build the properties and acquire the Trump name in exchange for a fee.

The rest of the details of Donald Trump Jr.'s itinerary are hazy despite repeated emails to the Trump Organization and its Indian partner Tribeca.

Following his schedule Trump Jr. will meet with Indian investors and business CEOs in Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune and Gurugram respectively, as The Washington Post reported.

The trip is raising eyebrows among some however as President Trump has been working to strengthen ties with India, and Ivanka traveled to the country past year just as sales started on the units.

In November 2017, US President Donald Trump's daughter Ivanka had arrived in India leading a delegation to attend the 8th edition of the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) in taking place in Hyderabad.
