Apple's TV App Adds Direct Access to Live News Channels

Although right now live news is in the Watch Now section, it's possible that in the future Apple will add a dedication news category so you can get to it even faster.
MacRumors reports that aside from the usual news updates, the new section also features a planner that people can use to figure the specific schedule of events. We've asked if this will be available outside of the United States - since NBC only holds the rights to coverage in that country - and we're also asking which other partners are involved. Try it out and let me know how you like it. For example, users can ask Siri to show a Bloomberg broadcast, which will trigger the live stream, notes TechCrunch. Moreover, Apple News will also display a medal tracker and daily roundups for users who are in areas with timezones different from South Korea's.
It's important to note that Apple's TV app is aggregating this content from the agencies' own apps, though, so you'll need to have those installed in order to access their news content within Apple's own entertainment app.
Apple's PyeongChang Olympics coverage is provided by NBC across both iOS devices and Apple TVs.
The addition of the live news section on Apple's TV app arrives shortly after the company launched a live sports tab.
