Copenhagen police said they're investigating what happened without specifying further. The gold and silver bottle features a diamond-encrusted cap, but somehow, the thief missed these embellishments completely.

Brian Ingberg, owner of the Cafe 33 bar, said the bottle was still valued at the same price.

A bottle of vodka, claimed to be the "world's most expensive", was found intact in Copenhagen after it was stolen from a bar earlier this week, Danish police said.

The CCTV footage showed an intruder grabbing the vodka bottle and fleeing.

The bottle is now in the possession of the police after a member of the public found it on a building site in Charlottenlund - a suburban area on the coast, 10km (6 miles) north of Copenhagen.

"I feel fantastic. The vodka god saved us", he added. Ingberg says the bottle will be refilled with more vodka.

After it was stolen early on Tuesday, he told broadcaster TV2 that he had borrowed the bottle from the Latvia-based Dartz Motor Company.

The bottle is covered with leather and has a replica of the radiator guard used for Russian luxury auto maker Russo-Baltique.

Bar owner Brian Ingberg whose bar has 1,200 vodka bottles, told Denmark's Ekstra Bladet tabloid that the bottle resembles a vintage vehicle front.

To mention another remarkable feat of the bottle, it had featured in an episode of the popular TV show, "House of Cards" as a gift from the Russian President to the US President.
