'F**king child': Trump taunted for Twitter 'tantrum' over Michael Wolff's new book

Wolff says the book is mostly based on talks with people who have worked closely with the president.

The book, "Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House" presents a damning portrayal of the Trump White House and has numerous president's closest advisers questioning his intelligence, leadership and maturity. He also says he never spoke with the book's author.

Trump said Wolff fabricated stories to sell his book, using "Sloppy Steve Bannon" along the way. Other excerpts depicted Trump being angry over celebrity snubs at his inauguration, and that he eats fast food because he is afraid he might be poisoned.

The author appeared on the TODAY show Friday and stood by everything printed in Fire and Fury.

Trump has lashed out at Bannon over a new book that quotes his former aide questioning the president's competence.

"I guess sloppy Steve (Bannon) brought him into the White House quite a bit.that's why sloppy Steve is looking for a job".

In all, the RNC cites ten journalists from both left and right who have warned that the wild stories about Trump's White House as related in "Fire and Fury" are not to be trusted.

In response, the publisher moved the book's release date from next week to January 5, citing unprecedented demand.

A New York Times report describes Wolff as, "a status-mad needler with a habit of being ejected from expensive restaurants, this is a new level of notoriety".

Lee had told CNN that Trump is showing signs of impairment that the average person could not see. Donald Trump is going to probably spend the remainder of his presidency fighting back.

"This man does not read, does not listen". While Twitter and other social media outlets provide the American people instant access to venting over issues, reporters and authors are sticking with the traditional format of investigative journalism to report on the White House.

The acrimony surrounding former White House adviser Steve Bannon's very public break with President Donald Trump is escalating, suggesting a permanent split between the president and the pugilistic strategist who helped put him in the Oval Office.

Wolff also said he has recordings and notes of his interviews, but would not say whether he plans to release them.

Michael Wolff's new book, "Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House", slams the Trump campaign with plenty of accusations and claims that raised some eyebrows. This is extraordinary that a president of the United States would try to stop the publication of a book.

SARAH HUCKABEE SANDERS: He repeatedly begged to speak with the president and was denied access, and he makes it sound like he was sitting outside the Oval Office every single day, which is just not the case.
