Chris Christie says the Bridgegate scandal that rocked his administration affected him more severely than losing his bid to be the 2016 Republican nominee for president.

Christie, whose second term ends this month, also defended his time as governor, despite low approval ratings during his a year ago in office.

Thus, the way Christie sees it, that means that he would've won if it wasn't for Trump.

On Friday, Christie said in an interview with The New York Times, that he didn't believe Trump had been disloyal to him and that he is still friends with the president.
