Call of Duty WW2 fans are counting down to the next big in-game event.

There is a new event that is kicking off in Call of Duty: WWII title, The Resistance.

The Resistance update has been given a January 23 release date and is expected to have a 6pm United Kingdom start time. Now, we're learning that alongside the new weapons, division and Zombies, players are also getting free access to party game mode Prop Hunt and old-school Demolition.

"The Resistance is the latest community event to come to Call of Duty: WW2!" reads an Activision blog post.

"Beginning on January 23 and lasting until February 27, The Resistance community event has something for everyone, as it will bring with it a brand-new Division, new game modes, new gear, free supply drops and more!" Are you excited for The Resistance DLC and accompanying community event?

The new Division being introduced is the Resistance division.

Levelling up your Resistance fighter unlocks a Pistol Tactical Knife combo, the ability to scramble enemy maps, a new pistol attachment and a mini-map indicator. It's similar to hide-and-seek, where one team takes control of inanimate objects and attempts to blend in and avoid the hunting team.

The new mode that they highlighted in the trailer below is the return of Demolition.

This includes a new assault rifle: the Volkssturmgewehr, the Orso: a new SMG, and a new melee weapon: the Combat Knife. There will also be an all-new free Resistance themed supply drop every month that will contain new uniforms and new weapon variants as well as new Resistance gear, 2XP playlists, and much, much more.
